The North American based automaker Ford has recently announced that the company’s Lincoln brand will enter the Chinese auto market in 2014.
According to the car manufacturer, the Chinese luxury segment is expected to double by the end of this decade and Ford is trying to get a piece of the pie by using its Lincoln brand. The “blue oval” is saying that Lincoln will be launched in China in the second half of 2014 and the company will provide personalized motor cars and more.
“Lincoln is an important part of our plan, and introducing Lincoln in China marks the next step in our expansion in Asia and our commitment to serving customers in the luxury market. We recognize the growth potential for Lincoln in China, building on the growing appeal of our new Lincoln products and unique, personalized customer experience in North America”, said the Ford CEO, Alan Mulally.
When it will finally reach Chinese ground in the second half of 2014, Lincoln will have some serious competition from the main German automakers, which have been present on the market for a few years now. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on Lincoln going to China but we will keep you updated on the subject.
