We’re expecting the 2017 Lincoln Continental to pop up any time now officially as the 2016 North American International Auto Show debuts later on today but the model decided to make another leaked appearance beforehand.
This is the second after the fans were bogged down by the underachiever Continental presented in last week’s leak, spirits might be cheered after this one – as the more upscale version looks entirely different altogether. The higher spec comes nicely equipped with the new LED headlights and chromed out front grille. We also get treated to a nice looking blue shade which was presented in the airport car booking grey scale. We’re still unsure if the real car will look good with those odd door handles placed so up high on the doors – right below the windows.
The 2017 Lincoln Continental wasn’t going to be a massive surprise anyways since the production guise is just an evolution of the prototype presented two years ago during the 2014 New York Auto Show. We still rely on reports for the powertrain option – which should be the MKZ-sourced 3.0-liter V6 biturbo that can deliver up to 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque and send the power to an all-wheel drive system.
