In case you think a full size American SUV is still not enough for your family and friends – Lincoln is proposing the 2018 Navigator Extended to solve the issue.

Ford’s premium brand is catering to all customers’ needs and has even cooked up a bigger version of its posh SUV, appropriately called “Extended”, ready to debut on the eve of the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year. You did catch the reference, right? The Navigator Extended is one foot (30 centimeters) longer than the standard model and Lincoln claims the elongated model offers a segment-leading cargo volume behind the second-row seats and at the same time an additional 15 cubic feet of cargo when using the third row as well. The Navigator Extended is even more accommodating because it packs equally elongated rear doors. The upgraded wheelbase, by almost 10 inches (25.4 centimeters), is also making sure there’s more than enough legroom inside.

Pricing wise, the regular 2018 Navigator starts at $72,055 MSRP in the base Premiere trim, but the entry-level Extended version will kick off from at least $80,750 for the Select L. Of course, with the Extended you’re getting more of everything – even the 20-inch wheels have been swapped for a 22-inch set. The Navigator Extended Black Label L range-topping trim is also packing a new Destination interior theme with Mahogany Red Venetian leather upholstery, diamond weave for the seats and khaya wood laser-etched appliqués. You might also want to consider the Chalet and Yacht Club interior themes.
