Lotus has recently released new details on the Exige S Roadster, which should hit the market this summer.
After it was officially unveiled not too long ago, the Lotus Exige S Roadster is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing new details on the model. According to the car manufacturer, the Lotus Exige S Roadster is being described as a “race-bred” sports car, with a familiar design, similar to its coupe brother, an aggressive front fascia, LED infused headlights and some 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires.
“This summer the critically acclaimed Lotus Exige S loses its roof and gains a new character. As capable as its coupé counterpart, the Exige S Roadster retains all the intent of a race-bred sports car but also possesses the poise of a sleek convertible”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The Lotus Exige S Roadster is powered by a mid-mounted 3.5 liter V6 engine, equipped with a supercharger, which is producing a total output of 350 HP (257 kW) and it has a peak torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft). The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 233 km/h (145 mph). Prices for the 1,166 kg vehicle will start at 52,900 GBP, VAT included, in the UK. In Europe, the Roadster will set you back for 55,378 euros, without taxes.
