The British sports car manufacturer has introduced its new Evora Sport 410, which has another 10 hp and has also taken numerous trips to the gym to lose weight.
The Hethel-based sports car producer has been delivering a healthy amount of novelties lately and after recently presenting the new Elise Cup 250 they have decided to also take the wraps off the Evora Sport 410. Lotus is the adept of straightforward naming schemes, so we already know the Evora’s power has been bumped by another 10 horsepower (7 kilowatts) compared to the Evora 400. The model uses the same supercharged 3.5-liter V6, now churning out 410 hp (306 kilowatts) at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 302 pound-feet (410 Newton meters) at 3,500 rpm. The power increase might not sound spectacular but we need to corroborate it to the weight loss which stands at a good 154 lbs (70 kg) compared to the Evora 400 by way of deploying carbon fiber components. The diet resulted in the Evora 410 tipping the scales at just 2,921 lbs (1,325 kg) and the diet also included new lightweight door trim panels and a simpler carbon fiber tailgate.
More power and less weight equals enhanced performance specifications and the Evora 410 will do the to 62 miles (100 kilometers) per hour in 4.2 seconds on its way to an 186 mph (300 km/h) top speed. That’s with the standard manual transmission, with the auto gearbox lowering the sprint time by 0.1 seconds (the same happens to the max speed which stands at 174 mph – 280 km/h). Engineers also decided to take a look at the suspension, which has a modified geometry, different damping setup and the ride height has been lowered by 5 mm. The model has Michelin Cup 2 tires wrapped around the 19-inch front & 20-inch rear 10-spoke lightweight forged aluminum wheels. Available from June, the model will have an annual production run of just 150 units with pricing starting from £79,900 in UK, €106,900 in Germany, €107,800 in France, €111,960 in Italy, and ¥14.8M in Japan.
