Lotus Exige based Extrema unveiled by Composite Worx image

The Italian based car company Composite Worx has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the so-called Extrema, which is actually based on the Lotus Exige.

For those of you who have no idea what Composite Worx is we will tell you that it’s a car company located in Bergamo, but even if it’s basically an unknown name in the car industry, this might change with its latest creation. The newest model to be produced by Composite Worx is being named the Extrema and the model is based on the Lotus Exige, but under that beautiful body we can find a big surprise.

According to the car manufacturer, the Composite Worx Extrema is powered by a V8 engine sourced from the Chevrolet Corvette LS9, which is producing a total output of 649 horsepower (484 kW). The Extrema weighs just 970 kg (2,138 lbs), and because of this, the model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 160 km/h (100 mph) in 7 seconds. The top speed achieved by the Extrema stands at 322 km/h (200 mph). Additional details on the model will probably be announced soon.
