The new Lotus Exige LF1 has been announced for production as the model will become available in a limited edition in all markets, except the United States.
The Lotus Exige LF1 is based on the Exige S and it’s a special edition of the model, designed to celebrate the Formula One provenance. The vehicle is getting a black and gold exterior with some red accents, golden wheels, special badging, a Race Pack, including the high-performance brakes, the Dynamic Performance Management system or the Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tires. The cabin is getting the two-tone leather / fabric seats, with embroidered headrests and embroidered seat backs, an individually numbered carbon fiber plaque and air conditioning.
Lotus says that the Exige LF1 buyers will also be getting an “Exige LF1 Membership” which will include a tour of Lotus F1 Team headquarters at Enstone and a factory tour of Lotus Cars in Hethel, along with a 1:2 scale replica helmet of Romain Grosjean, a Lotus F1 Team USB stick, a Lotus F1 car key fob and some special discounts. Power to the sports car is being provided by a 3.5 liter V6 engine which is producing 350 HP (257 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.0 seconds and top speed stands at 274 km/h (170 mph). Production will be limited to 81 units.
