The Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary Special Edition has been recently unveiled by the car manufacturer, celebrating 20 years of the model in question.
The brand new Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary Special Edition has been created in order to celebrate 20 years since the original car was introduced at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model in question is 10 kg (22 lbs) lighter than the Elise S, at 914 kg (2,015 lbs), and it is taking its power from a 1.8 liter supercharged gasoline burner, which is the same one actually. The unit is rated at 217 HP (162 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, available at 4,600 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the special edition of the Elise needs just 4.6 seconds.
Lotus says that top speed of the model stands at 237 km/h (145 mph) and thanks to its lightweight construction, the fuel consumption stands at 5.9 liters every 100 km (47.8 mpg UK / 39.8 mpg US). The CO2 emissions stop at 173 g/km. The Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary will be offered with body paints such as the blue, yellow, green and silver with matte black rear transom, side mirrors, diffuser, roll hoop, forged alloy wheels and decals in the cabin. The hardtop is said to be optional and it will be adding 1,200 GBP to its cost, which stands at 39,900 GBP. No photo gallery with the Elise 20th Anniversary has been released at this time.
