It’s a matter of personal opinion if you agree with the aftermarket specialist the all-new Range Rover Velar looks better as the wide body CLR GT.
In our books the Land Rover Range Rover Velar is one of the best – if not the best – designs in the rising coupe-SUV niche. But even with near perfect lines, tuners would still try to wreak havoc – in this case we’re dealing with Lumma Design from Germany. They worked quickly on the basics of the Velar – and they did it digitally to make sure they’re among the first. Or they could seek to gauge interest in this version before starting work on a real example. Our vote goes against the preparation. Nicknamed Lumma CLR GT Limited Edition, this is another custom wide body kit project, this time focusing on the new Velar.
Love or hate comes to mind as definite feelings, but we do dive in for the forest green exterior, which certainly gives the Velar a surprisingly distinctive look given the circumstances of the rest of the package. The body kit includes a new grille and front end in carbon fiber, with the hood and side vents also treated to the lightweight material. The roof gets a jet black treatment and to spice things up Lumma used a custom set of in-house design alloy wheels. The back is also bespoke – quad exhaust tips, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber spoiler are there to complement the “Lumma CLR GT” logo.
