Taiwanese-based Luxgen has unveiled the Neora concept at Auto Shanghai 2011.
“To transform the cold and rigid industrial product into one of the emotional kind” is what the neora is all about design-wise, says the Taiwanese company. Well, nothing like infusing warmth and character into an inanimate object, or attempting to, hey?
The Luxgen Neora is a front-wheel-drive four-door sedan, powered by a 180kW electric induction motor which is juiced by a 48 kWh lithium-ion battery.
The result is a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 250km/h.
Combine that with a battery range of 400km and an 80 percent fast charge in one hour, and the Luxgen neora is a tantalising prospect for environmentally conscious drivers who don’t want to sacrifice performance or driving range.
Much like Luxgen’s previous models, the Neora too boasts of very stylish interiors. Seen featured inside the sedan are ergonomic seats, a heads-up display, a modern infotainment system with LED screen and a glass sunroof. The dashboard is entirely constructed out of recycled woods, which highlights Luxgen’s focus on sustainable development.
