Indian company Mahindra & Mahindra, well known nowadays in Europe for its recent purchase of Italian car design firm and coachbuilder Pininfarina SpA, has just teased its upcoming XUV Aero concept.
The model – for now previewed only by a design sketch, will debut officially in front of the worldwide audience attending the Auto Expo 2016 in India. The local automakers are increasingly trying to fend off the assault of the foreign companies and in order to win the feud they need attractive models. It appears Mahindra has a winner in the latter category, with the all new XUV Aero concept ready to preview a road going vehicle with a coupe-SUV body. While such niche contraptions have been previously introduced mostly by premium automakers, Mahindra is taking its chances and will debut a model in the segment during the upcoming Auto Expo, scheduled to start on February 3.
