A man living in the United States has used 91 bitcoins to buy a Tesla Model S from a Lamborghini dealership.
Bitcoins have been around for quite some time and even if you heard about them or not, they are currently used to buy all sort of things, but a man living in the United States has proved that you can even get a new car for “just” 91 bitcoins. A single bitcoin is worth approximately 900 USD so 91 of them mean almost 100,000 USD, so adding the new Tesla Model S to his garage definitely wasn’t cheap. The vehicle was bought form Lamborghini Newport Beach, which is capable of accepting bitcoin as payment for cars.
The Tesla Model S is currently being offered with a choice of several battery options, such as the 60 kWh and the 86 kWh, and the most expensive one can provide a range of approximately 500 km (310 miles) while the cheapest version can carry you for 335 km (208 miles). The Tesla Model S is currently being assembled in Fremont, California, since 2012, and it’s offered with a rear-motor and rear-wheel drive layout, being a fully-sized electric car.
