Yes – in Seattle. Police arrested a “highly intoxicated” after he dialed 911 and reported his car stolen. Minutes after the man was found in the passenger seat – in his car!
The man was facing charges of making a false police report, The Seattle Times reported.
The “victim” even assisted with the chase, saying the thief had driven away on Swift Avenue South, heading North, according to the release.
Police responded to the area and quickly found the Audi – along with the car’s owner (also known as the “victim,” also known as the 911 caller), sitting in the passenger seat.
In addition, the 911 caller’s friend was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
