Mansory doing what it does best – go to extremes – with latest Mercedes tuning programs image

Mansory is well known for being very subtle – oh, sorry, it’s exactly the other way around. So, Mansory is well known for its extravagant tuning programs for the models it decides to prepare.

One perfect example of its inherent flashiness is the latest crop of aftermarket packages, tailored to fit the Mercedes-AMG GLE63 Coupe, S63 Coupe, and G63. Mansory has always been called controversial and it appears to have found its clients in a very well defined subgenre of the aftermarket zone and the latest bunch of kits are yet another confirmation the company is usually looking to please opulent clients. You have to imagine what Mansory can do with the Mercedes GLE Coupe which from the start has been designed to catch attention – and is now even more “outrageous” via a wide body kit and massive 23-inch wheel designs. With a matte grey exterior hue, the GLE 63 Coupe by Mansory will be 1.1 inches (30 mm) wider than the regular model and is clad in beefy 305/35/23 tires. It also gets a new power level thanks to the upgrade performed on the biturbo 5.5-liter V8 engine – the regular 557 horsepower (410 kilowatts) and 516 pound-feet (700 Newton meters) of torque has been bumped up to 840 hp (618 kW) and a massive 849 pound-feet (1,150 Nm). The top speed is now unrestricted and the monster will go up to 183 mph (295 km/h).

In the case of the S63 Coupe there’s another trait – exclusivity – present as just six examples will be produced. The model is more aerodynamic now and in this case we can even call Mansory to be restrained. There are new vents and a new bonnet, going along the bunch of carbon fiber parts and custom exhaust system with a stainless steel silencer and angular dual tips. The biturbo 5.5-liter V8 engine has also been massaged to 840 hp (618 kW) and a limited 849 pound-feet (1,150 Nm). It will do the 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 3.5 seconds and top out at a limited 186 mph (300 km/h). And finally we have the GRONOS body kit for the G63 which is now .5 inches (40 mm) wider than the standard model and also resides on 23-inch wheels. The power level is the same as in the other two models.
