Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg has recently bought himself a brand new ride, a Volkswagen Golf GTI, in the new generation.
You would probably expect an extremely wealthy guy, who hasn’t turned 30 just yet, to own exotic cars like Bugattis, Paganis and even one-off Ferraris or Lamborghinis, but when talking about Mark Zuckerberg you will be wrong. The father of Facebook hasn’t got a thing for cars and, as far as we know it, he hasn’t got a thing for, well, anything so Zuckerberg prefers to drive a hot hatch instead of a supercar, which makes absolutely no sense.
Mark Zuckerberg has recently ordered a Volkswagen Golf 7 GTI, which has been finished in black and equipped with a manual transmission. The model in question is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder direct injected petrol burner, from the EA888 series, which is probably producing 230 PS (169 kW) than 220 PS (162 kW). The stop/start technology is being offered in standard. The new Golf GTI is riding on the MQB platform as the regular Golf and this is shared with other models in the company’s lineup, including the new Audi A3, the new Seat Leon and so on.
