Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV revealed at Delhi image

Maruti Suzuki has recently presented its newest creation, the Ertiga MPV, at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo in India.

According to the car manufacturer, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV is actually the production version of the Maruti Suzuki Concept rIII, which was officially presented at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been developed for Asia only and there’s no official word yet whether the model will eventually hit the United States or even Europe, but if it does, the automaker will have to significantly improve it in order for the vehicle to respect the safety standards.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV has a wheelbase of 2.740 mm, which is quite long compared to other vehicles in its class, and it’s coming with seven seats. The car manufacturer says that the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV is powered by either a 1.4 liter VVT four-cylinder petrol engine, K-14, or a 1.3 liter Fiat sourced four-cylinder turbodiesel engine. Sadly this is all we know for now about the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV, but more details on the model are expected to be announced once the vehicle will officially hit the dealerships, Suzuki Maruti didn’t even say anything about the Ertiga MPV’s future price or trim levels.
