The Italian based automaker Maserati has recently announced its plans to introduce the new Ghibli to the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, this weekend.
After it was officially introduced just earlier this year, the brand new Maserati Ghibli is now getting ready to make its UK debut, as the model will be officially presented to the public this weekend, during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The model in question will have a 0.31 drag coefficient and it will benefit from 50:50 weight distribution for improved handling. Prices for the diesel will be set at 48,830 GBP.
As a quick reminder, the Maserati Ghibli is the first ever model produced by the company which received a diesel engine. The unit has been co-developed with a former Ferrari chief motorist, Paolo Martinelli, and it’s coming as a 3.0L turbocharged V6, which is producing 275 HP (202 kW) and 600 Nm of torque (443 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 6.3 seconds and the model is burning an average of 6.0L / 100km of fuel (47 mpg UK / 39.2 mpg US), and it’s emitting 160 g/km of CO2. The model is also getting a 330 HP and 500 Nm of torque 3.0 liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine. Both versions are mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.
