The first renderings with the Maserati Ghibli Fastback have recently made their way onto the web and they might provide us with a first look into what may become a new body style of the model.
After it was officially presented to the public during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, in a world premiere, just last month, the brand new Maserati Ghibli is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some renderings. The images posted below have been provided by Theophilus Chin and they are renderings of the so-called Maserati Ghibli Fastback.
As a quick reminder, the regular version of the Maserati Ghibli is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V6, with 275 HP (202 kW) and 600 Nm o torque (443 lb-ft). The model is also getting a twin-turbo gasoline 3.0L V6 with 330 HP (243 kW) and 500 Nm of torque (369 lb-ft). The Maserati Ghibli has a 20 cm wheelbase and an overall length reduced by 20 cm when compared to its larger brother, the Quattroporte. This is also the first Maserati model ever to be produced with a diesel engine. The unit has been developed by a former Ferrari chief motorist, Paolo Martinelli.
