The newest model to enter Maserati’s lineup, the Ghibli, has been recently spied while playing in the snow.
The Maserati Ghibli has started its public life as a simple rumor a few months ago but it seems that the Italian based automaker has big plans for the model. The Ghibli is being placed into the spotlights these days thanks to spy photographers, who have managed to catch the model while it was being tested in the snow. The heavy camouflage on its body isn’t revealing much of its design but we know for a fact that the model will lose about 25 cm in length, compared to the new Quattroporte, even if the same platform will be used.
Power to the newest sedan in Maserati’s lineup will be provided by a V6 3.0 liter engine, which will produce a total output of 410 HP, which will be mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Other units will also be adopted by the Ghibli but details on them remain unknown for the moment. The Maserati Ghibli is expected to make its way onto the market sometimes in 2013 and more details on the model will be announced close to its debut.
