Maserati has launched the GranTurismo Sport in Malaysia recently where the model is available to its future customers starting at RM1,118,000.
The Maserati GranTurismo Sport has a more aggressive exterior design and it’s coming with Adaptive Light Control, with LED daytime running lights, with sportier front seats, a new rear seat design, more legroom throughout the cabin, a flat bottomed steering wheel and some other tweaks and goodies which will definitely be appreciated by its future customers in the Asian country. The color of choice for the Maserati GranTurismo Sport was named the Blu Sofisticato.
The most interesting part of the Maserati GranTurismo Sport is found under its hood, where the 4.7 liter V8 engine lives, with its 460 HP at 7,000 rpm and 520 Nm available from 4,750 rpm. The unit can be mated to a six-speed electro transmission with twin-plate clutch or to the ZF Automatic transmission. The model has 20 HP and 30 Nm of torque more than the GranTurismo S, but the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions haven’t been affected. The Maserati GranTurismo Sport can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 298 km/h.
