The Italian based automaker Maserati has officially announced its plans of introducing the new Levante SUV by the end of 2015.
After being previewed by the Kubang Concept and then spied and rumored several times, the upcoming Maserati Levante is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time in an official manner, as the car manufacturer has decided to introduce it by the end of next year. According to Maserati, the Levante will be reaching its future customers in late 2015 and it will be based on the Ghibli, being offered with an all-wheel drive system, specifically adapted for it.
The Maserati Levante will be produced at the Mirafiori plant, in Turin, Italy, and it will also come in a right-hand drive configuration, in early 2016. The model in question is believed to be taking its power from a 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 engine, which will be producing 410 HP (306 kW), from a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8, with 530 HP (395 kW), and from a 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel, rated at 271 HP (202 kW), which is expected to be the number one choice on the Old Continent. All units will be connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the Q4 AWD.
