Maserati has released a new set of official images with the new Quattroporte generation, scheduled to make its public debut next year, in Detroit.
After it was unveiled a couple of months ago, the new generation of the Maserati Quattroporte is ending up in our news once again, this time with the Italian based automaker releasing more official images with the four-door coupe. The 2014 Maserati Quattroporte will get two Ferrari sourced engines under its hood, a V6 and a V8, which will be used on future Alfa Romeo models in different configurations.
The 2014 Maserati Quattroporte will get a 3.0 liter V6 engine for the entry-level version, which will produce a total output of 410 HP. This will allow the new Quattroporte to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 285 km/h. Besides this version, a new engine will also be available for the model, a 3.8 liter V8 with double supercharging and direct injection, which will be able to produce a total output of 530 HP and 670 Nm of torque, but thanks to over boost, the torque figure can go up to 720 Nm. This version can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 307 km/h.
