The legendary Italian based automaker Maserati has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the 2013 GranTurismo MC Trofeo, which will make its way onto the Maserati Trofeo MC World Series.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2013 Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo has the same technical specifications as the 2012 version but the model has “been overhauled”, as the carmaker is saying. The 2013 Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo is weighing less than 1,380 kg (3,042 lbs) and it’s meeting the same regulations implemented in 2012, just like its predecessor.
“The car has been overhauled but has the same technical spec as the 2012 version, a season when significant aerodynamic regulations were introduced, the set up was tweaked with a widened track, and the overall weight reduced to 1380kg”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The 2013 Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeo will make its racing debut on the 29th of April, in the Maserati Trofeo MC World Series, on the Paul Ricard circuit in France, and, on the 2nd of June, the vehicle will start at the Nurburgring race. This will be followed by the Silverstone on the 14th of July, then Sonoma in the U.S., Shanghai in China and Abu Dhabi on the 14th of December.
