A McLaren MP4-12C has been recently rear ended by a truck and the owner has purchased a Ferrari 458 Italia in the mean time, to use as a replacement.
We have always said here on inautonews.com that where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes, and the latest example of such an unfortunate incident is coming from the U.S., where a McLaren MP4-12C has definitely seen better days. According to Luxury4Play, the British supercar in question has been rear ended by a truck and the owner of the MP4-12C has decided to buy a Ferrari 458 Italia in the meantime, to use it as a replacement, while the McLaren will be in the workshop.
As a reminder, the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine which is producing a total output of 592 horsepower at 7.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 443 lb-ft available between 3.000 and 7.000 rpm. The engine is allowing the British supercar to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 205 mph. The Corsa tire option cuts down 0.2 seconds from the 0 to 62 mph acceleration time and the supercar can do a quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 134 mph.
