A matte orange finished BMW i8 has been caught on camera recently while quietly sitting around in a parking space, in Sint-Martens-Latem.
Whenever it comes to the BMW i8, most images with the model are showing it doing “green stuff”, on the track, with the pedal to the metal or in idiotic comparisons with vehicles which have nothing in common with it. But every once in a while we get to stand out of the “comfort zone” and present you with a version of the hybrid sports car which can be either loved or hated.
This particular model is wearing a matte orange finish on its body and this is a shade preferred by “racers wannabe”. The vehicle has been caught on camera while quietly sitting around in a parking space in Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium. Whether it looks better than the regular finished models or it has been transformed in a kitschy ride is your choice to make. The BMW i8 is coming with a 1.5 liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which is backed up by an electric motor. There is also a 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery found. The total output produced by the powertrain stands at 357 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. The i8 has been introduced in its production form back in 2013, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The plug-in hybrid sports car is offered in a two-door coupe body style and it has recently won the International Engine of the Year award.
