Wednesday, August 15th, Mayim Bialik, “The Big Bang Theory” Emmy nominee, suffered a car accident in Los Angeles.
Mayim Bialik was driving her white Volvo when she was struck near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and LaBrea Avenue. The actress suffered injuries to her left hand and thumb, and was taken to the nearest Los Angeles hospital. Police said that she was travelling south on LaBrea when a car with three passengers, travelling in the opposite direction, wanted to take a left turn in front of her car.
A “Big Bang Theory” studio spokesperson said that the incident won’t affect the filming of the series, which began last week. Shortly after the accident she tweeted from the hospital:
“(husband typing) In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna See pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol.”
In March, the actress released a book on the controversial and popular subject of attachment parenting: ‘Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way’. In July Bialik received an Emmy nomination for her character, Amy Farrah Fowler on CBS’ mega-hit “Big Bang Theory.”
