All Japanese automakers have decided the specialty-oriented 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon is worthy of attention, with Mazda the latest to present its model roster for the aftermarket event.
The 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon is kicking off on January 13, and Mazda is the latest carmaker from Japan to reveal its novelties – though it’s a bit tamer than what Toyota or Honda have in store. However, none of them have the iconic MX-5 Miata that Mazda can brag about – with a special vintage-honoring model that grabs our attention front and center. Mazda has decided to go both classic and modern by using Classic Red – the same crimson paint that was offered on the first two generations of the popular roadster. The change is utterly diminutive, especially because the design team also opted on very subtle changes to the body kit – in a way allowing fans to hunt for the references to the past.
Mazda is also reworking with the Custom Style kits the CX-3, CX-5 Miata RF, and Demio. The models come with beefier body kits and lower suspensions that deliver a more aggressive stance. We’re not going to argue with the kings of quirkiness (the Japanese, that is) by asking why the CX-3, CX-5, and Demio have deodorizing floor mats among the interior enhancements.
