Mazda CX-3 rendered
The Mazda CX-3 crossover has been recently rendered and the image posted above might offer us a first glimpse into the final production version of the model.
With a segment dominated by the popular Nissan Juke, and with models like the Opel Mokka, the Ford EcoSport or the Peugeot 2008 coming in pretty fast, the Japanese based automaker Mazda couldn’t stay away and a new crossover is currently under development. The model will most likely be named the CX-3 and it will be a direct competitor for the vehicles mentioned above. The final production version of the Mazda CX-3 will get improved handling and low weight, along with the SkyActiv technologies.
Future owners of the Mazda CX-3 will get a choice of two engines at first, the 1.3 liter gasoline turbo and the 1.6 liter diesel. Power will be sent to either the front-wheel drive or the all-wheel drive, depending on the version chosen. Rumors are saying that the Mazda CX-3 will hit the market by 2014. Additional details on Mazda’s new crossover are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to the model’s debut.
