Mazda has launched the CX-5 CKD in Malaysia, where the model is now available to its future customers from RM136, 943.
According to the car manufacturer, the new Mazda CX-5 CKD, which was recently launched in Malaysia, is actually locally assembled. The model can now be bought from RM136,943 for the two-wheel drive version, and this is actually RM7,000 cheaper than the RM144,125 variant which was unveiled back in February. If the top of the line four-wheel drive High Spec version is what you’re interested in, you should know that this will set you back for RM154,385. All prices are on the road, with insurance.
The new Mazda CX-5 CKD is locally assembled at the company’s facility in Kedah, following the Mazda 3 sedan and the Mazda 3 hatchback. The local distributor, Bermaz Motor, signed a joint venture agreement with the Mazda Motor Corporation, in order to increase the local assembly and the manufacturing activities in the country. The Japanese based automaker has a 7- percent share in the joint venture and the rest is held by Bermaz.
