Mazda CX-5 launched in Romania – starts at EUR22,190 image

The Japanese based automaker Mazda has recently launched the CX-5 model in Romania, where the crossover has a starting price of 22,190 euros.

After launching the Mazda CX-5 in several other markets throughout the world, time has come for the Eastern European country Romania to get the Japanese crossover too. According to the car manufacturer, the Mazda CX-5 is being offered in four trim levels in Romania, Emoticon, Challenge, Attraction and Revolution, and standard features on the entry-level version are the i-Stop, which is basically a system which automatically turns off and on the engine in order to reduce the fuel consumption, the engine start button, traction control, stability control, hill park assist, tire pressure monitoring system and a set of passive and active safety systems.

Mazda says that the CX-5 can be ordered with both front or all-wheel drive, and the offer also includes manual and automatic transmissions. Besides these, the Japanese crossover is also offered with a 2.2 liter diesel engine, which is meeting the Euro 6 emission standards, and it’s developing a total output of 150 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque or 175 HP and 420 Nm of torque. The Mazda CX-5 is the first production vehicle to come with the Kodo design, being inspired by the Minagi concept. The CX-5’s platform will also be used by the future Mazda3, in order to cut down production costs.
