Mazda CX-5 leaked – starts at RM159,500 in Malaysia image

The Japanese based automaker Mazda is planning to launch the all-new CX-5 crossover in Malaysia, where the model will be available from RM159,500.

After the car manufacturer has launched the new Mazda CX-5 in markets like the United Kingdom or Japan, the model is once again highlighted, this time by a brochure which is announcing that it will hit Malaysia soon and its starting price will be set at RM159,500 for the front-wheel drive, entry-level version. The brochure is saying that the Mazda CX-5 will arrive in the Asian country in four levels, the front-wheel drive in Individual (RM159,500) and Company (RM160,009) and the all-wheel drive in Individual (RM169,760) and Company (RM170,284).

At the time of the launch, the new Mazda CX-5 will come with only one engine in Malaysia, the SkyActiv-G 2.0 liter petrol engine, which is developing a total output of 155 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, mated to a SkyActiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission which will power the front wheel or the all-wheel drive system, depending on the version. The Mazda CX-5 is 4,450 mm long, 1,840 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, with a wheelbase measuring 2,700 mm. The Mazda CX-5 is expected to be launched in Malaysia later this year.
