Mazda has released the first teaser image with the so-called Hazumi Concept, which will be officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, next month, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Mazda’s newest creation is the Hazumi Concept and the model in question will be actually serving as a preview for the next generation of the Mazda2. Its name is coming from “bound” or “spring up”, in Japanese, we can notice, in the teaser image posted above, the new styling cues, which have been inspired by the Mazda3 and by the Mazda6 and applied on a smaller scale.
“Mazda is unveiling the Mazda HAZUMI, a next-generation subcompact concept, at the 84th Geneva International Motor Show. The event is open to the public from 6-16 March with press days on 4 and 5 March”, as Mazda is saying in the official press release.
The new generation of the Mazda2, which is currently previewed by this Hazumi Concept, will be targeting a female audience and it’s actually believed to ride on the CX-5’s shortened platform. This basically means that the model will grow in size compared to the outgoing one and it will probably give birth to a crossover too, in the future. Additional details on the subject remain unknown for the moment.
