Some spy shots with what is believed to be the production version of the Mazda Koeru have hit the web recently.
If you have enjoyed the than we have some good news for you as the model in question is going to hit the production line. According to the images posted below, this is already in a pre-production version and it will be sitting atop the company’s SkyActiv platform, using the same 2,700 mm wheelbase as the CX-5. The styling of the car has been toned down compared to the one of the concept and this is now bringing new headlights, side mirrors, door handles and smaller rims, replacing the 21-inch ones.
The interior design of the new model will be getting the two-tone color scheme, a free standing screen and it will be similar to the one of other vehicles made by Mazda. According to the Chinese media, the model in question will be badged as the CX-4, but this will be given an extra length compared to the CX-5, so don’t act too surprised if a different moniker will be announced soon. As far as the engine lineup goes, this is believed to make use of the 2.0 liter and the 2.5 liter naturally aspirated SkyActiv units, for the Chinese version at least. The production car is believed to debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show, in November, and to hit the assembly line, at a facility operated by FAW and Mazda, next March.
