Mazda will be introducing the MX-5 25th Anniversary this month, during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the model will go on sale locally starting from August 1.
The Japanese based automaker Mazda is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the MX-5 with a limited edition of the popular roadster. The model in question has been named the MX-5 25th Anniversary, obviously, and it will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, later on this month. The car manufacturer says that the vehicle will go on sale, in the United Kingdom, starting from August 1.
The new Mazda MX-5 25th Anniversary is based on the standard Roadster Coupe and it has a Soul Red Metallic finish for the exterior, Brilliant Black side mirrors, power operated retractable hardtop and A pillars. The model has also received 17-inch Dark Gunmetal alloy wheels, chrome trim exhaust, a rear diffuser and the Limited Edition numbered badging. The cabin is adding the Light Stone leather trim with red stitching and the 25th Anniversary logos on the headrests. Power is provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine rated at 158 HP, connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 62 mph sprint takes 7.9 seconds and top speed stands at 136 mph.
