BBR has introduced a limited run upgrade package for the Mazda MX-5 which is adding some interesting performance upgrades to the popular rear-wheel drive drop-top.
The Mazda MX-5 has recently received an upgrade from BBR (Brodie Brittain Racing), no rx which is available in a limited run package of just 100 units. According to the tuning company, these upgrades can be ordered at BBR or at the Mazda UK dealer for 29,995 GBP and if you think that this is too much, you should know that the car is also included in this price. BBR has revised the Garrett turbocharger, it has recalibrated the ECU, added a high-flow intercooler and did some other modifications to the car.
The result is 258 BHP (192 kW) achieved from the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, but the GT270 kit is allowing the horsepower figure to go up to 268 (199 kW) at 7,350 rpm and the torque to stand at 307 Nm (227 lb-ft), available at 3,000 rpm. The 1,190 kg vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.9 seconds and it can reach an electronically limited top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h). Just like we said before, the Mazda MX-5 by BBR costs 29,995 GBP and it will be available in just 100 units.
