One of the most popular roadsters out there, the Mazda MX-5, has just become even hotter, thanks to the upgrade package signed by the guys from BBR.
Mazda MX-5 owners who are looking to upgrade their rides will now be able to order the so-called Super 200 package, signed by BBR. This has been priced from 1,695 GBP if you add it yourself or at 2,195 GBP for the fully installed upgrades. The upgrade package has been designed to fit the 2005 – 2014 models equipped with the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine.
“BBR knows that the Mazda MX-5 owners community is a broad church and not everyone wanted the supercar style performance of our highly successful turbocharged upgrades”, said BBR-GTI’s Neil McKay.
The upgrades added to the Mazda MX-5, with the addition of the Super 200 package, include the high performance camshafts, the stainless steel exhaust manifold, the high flow air filter or the optimized ECU, which are helping produce an extra 43 HP (32 kW) and 25 Nm (19 lb-ft) of torque, to a total of 201 HP (150 kW) and 225 Nm (166 lb-ft) of torque. Keep in mind that a replacement for the current Mazda MX-5 is currently in development.
