BBR has created a new tuning package for the current generation of the Mazda MX-5, which is adding some interesting features to the popular roadster.
The Mazda MX-5 is close to ending its life, in its current generation, as a successor is already being tested by the Japanese based automaker, but that didn’t stop BBR into creating a tuning package for the roadster. The model in question has received the Super 200 kit which includes the stainless steel 4 into 1 exhaust manifold, exhaust camshafts and high performance intake, ECU remap, stainless steel clamps and the BBR badges on the bootlid on the front wings.
The upgrade package is available with the 2005 onwards MK3 / 3.5 / 3.75 (NC) models and it can produce an extra 43 HP and 26 Nm (19 lb-ft) of torque from the same 2.0 liter enigine. The total output is standing in at 201 HP at 7,450 rpm and the peak torque at 225 Nm (166 lb-ft), available at 4,000 rpm. No performance details have been announced by BBR but the package will be setting you back for 2,195 GBP, installation included, and it will be available in a select number at the Mazda UK dealers.
