The all-new MX-5 Miata hardtop can now be ordered, with the fans also able to secure the Launch Edition, which kicks off at $33,850.
The Japanese automaker has listed official pricing for the new MX-5 Miata RF Launch Edition – which is definitely a great acquisition for those that live in areas where a soft-top isn’t practical. Buyers need to go to MX5RFPreOrder.com and give up $500 as a deposit and will then have to pay a full price of $33,850 for the manual, and $34,295 for the automatic. The MX-5 Miata Launch Edition will only get 1,000 units all around the world and will have a Machine Grey finish with a black retractable roof. The interior is adorned with an Auburn Nappa leather upholstery.
Apparenly you already need to hurry because Mazda says most of the cars have been reserved – and if you’re out of luck you can look forward to the regular Miata RF. The pricing with manual gearbox starts at $31,555 – with a starting MSRP of $32,285 when selecting the automatic. Choosing the Grand Touring trim will take pricing to $32,260 with a manual, or $33,825 with an automatic and you get new things such as leather interior and Bose audio. Under the hood the model gets a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G four-cylinder engine in the US, developing 155 horsepower (115 kilowatts) and 148 pound-feet (200 Newton-meter) of torque.
