Mazda MX-5 Shooting Brake gets rendered image

The first renderings with the Mazda MX-5 Shooting Brake have recently hit the web in order to reveal a very appealing version of the new model.

Are you a Mazda fan and into the Kodo design language? Well, then you have come to the right place because the images posted below will have you look at the company with different eyes. The photos in question are actually renderings, signed by Theophilus Chin, which are showing the Mazda MX-5 in a Shooting Brake body style. I have to admit that the vehicle looks even better than in its roadster shape.

The new generation of the Mazda MX-5 has been unveiled in a premiere during the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The model in question is 105 mm shorter, 10 mm wider and 20 mm lower compared to its predecessor, and it has also lost 100 kg from its total weight. There is an almost perfect 50:50 weight distribution in the car and the vehicle has been fitted with front ventilated and rear solid discs, with electric power assisted rack and pinion steering, with a rear multi-link setup, 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 195/50 tires and a 1.5 liter SKYACTIV-G unit in Europe, along with a 2.0 liter engine in the United States. RWD will be maintained.
