The Japanese based automaker Mazda has recently announced that a special edition of the 2012 MX-5 Miata Roadster will be officially presented to the public next week, at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Roadster Special Edition is actually coming with a power retractable hard top (PRHT) which is available in black, and this is the first time when the Japanese model has been produced in a color that doesn’t match the main bodywork. Mazda says that the 2012 MX-5 Miata Roadster Special Edition can also be ordered in a choice of two new exterior colors, new 17 inch black gunmetal alloy wheels, black exterior accents, piano black finishes and black leather seats.
“Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) will unveil its 2012 MX-5 Miata Special Edition at the upcoming 2012 Chicago Auto Show”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release. “The MX-5 Miata is the world’s best-selling two-seat roadster, with more than 900.000 produced, and made its global debut at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989.”
Mazda didn’t say anything about the engine options in the special edition of the roadster, so we’re expecting the standard lineup. The Mazda MX-5 Miata Roadster will make its official debut next week, at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.
