Mazda has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, named the MX-5 Yusho Concept, during the AMI Motor Show in Leipzig, Germany.
The all-new Mazda MX-5 Yusho Concept car might be a first step into refreshing the popular roadster, something that didn’t happen for quite a few years, but there is no official word on this subject just yet from the company. According to the Japanese based automaker, the Mazda MX-5 Yusho Concept is coming with a matte white exterior paint, a carbon fiber diffuser, a fresh set of 17-inch alloy wheels, a pair of Recaro sports seats in the cabin and a suede-wrapped steering wheel.
The Yusho name is coming from the Japanese word for victory and the Mazda MX-5 Yusho Concept is taking its power from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, equipped with connecting rods, Cosworth pistons and a fresh sports exhaust system. The unit is now able to deliver a total output of 238 horsepower and a peak torque of 274 Nm (202 lb-ft) to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The Mazda MX-5 Yusho Concept can reach a top speed of 240 km/h. Sadly this is all we’ve got on the MX-5 Yusho Concept car but we will keep you updated once more details will surface.
