The Japanese based automaker Mazda will officially present the Takeri Concept at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, with the vehicle being a preview of the next generation of the Mazda6 midsize sedan.
The Mazda6 will be based on the Takeri Concept and it will implement a lot of technology from the vehicle which will debut in December at the Tokyo Motor Show, with words like the SkyActiv Technology or regenerative braking system being ordinary for the automaker.
“The Takeri features the full array of SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY, including the efficient and powerful new SKYACTIV-D clean diesel engine, to deliver vigorous performance and a comfortable ride desired in a sedan. The combination of SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and electric devices – such as Mazda’s idling stop system, i-stop, and a new regenerative braking system – enable the Mazda Takeri to achieve excellent fuel economy”, as the automaker says in an official press release.
Sadly there’s no other word on the concept’s performance or figures like the average fuel consumption or CO2 emissions but all the details will come to light once the Takeri will be officially presented at the 42nd edition of the Tokyo Motor Show on December 3.
Besides the Takeri Concept, Mazda will also show the new CX-5 crossover at the Japanese event, along with other production models. You can watch the photo gallery below. Enjoy!
