The Japanese based automaker Mazda is planning to introduce the Mazda6 Concept at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.
The Mazda6 Concept isn’t such a new creation and the model has also been presented at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, but now the model will make its European debut too, and the event might end with the introduction of the new generation on the Old Continent. The Mazda6 Concept is also known as the Takeri and besides the obvious sedan, rumors say that an estate version, along with a hatchback, are under development.
The version presented to the public at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show was being powered by a new 2.2 liter engine which was developing a total output of 173 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, while returning an average of 60 mpg. The new generation of the Mazda6 is expected to incorporate the company’s latest regenerative braking system with stop/start technology and the model will hit the market with another system that can store electrical energy and use it to power the vehicle’s electrical equipment like the headlights or even the air conditioning. More details on when the new generation of the model will hit the market will be announced at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.
