The Japanese automaker is making a gift to all family people that are getting ready to visit the Geneva Motor Show in March – the online debut of the Mazda6 station wagon derivative.
The carmaker is actually featuring a double premiere – the refreshed sedan will also be on the catwalk next to the Mazda6 Touring, with the midsize premium wagon getting a slight nip and tuck. We’re not frowned about it being evolutionary since the model is downright one of the most attractive station wagons from across any segment. The sedan was first seen at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2017 and now the mid cycle refresh is also ready for the second body style – both reaching out to European customers starting this spring. It comes with the same styling modifications as seen on the US model, and also gets a more refined interior atmosphere thanks to improvements in the noise, vibration, and harshness departments.
The two Mazda6 models will arrive with additional aerodynamic work for increased efficiency and added safety and assist features, such as an intelligent speed assist system and 360-degree monitoring. The Geneva stand will also be featuring their new Skyactiv-X “ground-breaking engine” arriving with the company’s own Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SPCCI) system that tries to marry the advantages of both diesel and petrol engines.
