The McLaren 12C Spider has recently made its debut in Detroit where the British based automaker has brought it after being revealed at Pebble Beach.
According to the guys at autoweek.com, the McLaren 12C Spider which was brought to Detroit these days wasn’t the same one from Pebble Beach, painted in Volcano yellow, and it actually came in a color which is known as the Volcano red. The starting price for the 12C in the United States has been set at 268,250 USD and it includes two soft travel bags which fit in its trunk.
The McLaren 12C Spider, the roadster version of the MP4-12C, is powered by the same engine as its hard-top brother, the 3.8 liter twin turbo V6, which is developing a total output of 616 horsepower (625 PS / 460 kW), mated to a seven-speed dual clutch SSG transmission. The 12C can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds, the same as the MP4-12C, before reaching a top speed of 204 mph. the British supercar will start its deliveries in early 2013, worldwide.
