McLaren has recently announced its plans to introduce a special edition of the MP4-12C and 12C Spider, which should hit the market soon.
The McLaren MP4-12C and 12C Spider aren’t the newest supercars in the company’s lineup and everyone’s busy these days following the P1 but that doesn’t mean that the two models mentioned above are good for the scrapyard. The company’s 50th anniversary is being celebrated these days with two special editions of the MP4-12C and 12C Spider, which are named simply the “50”. The two models have been designed by McLaren Special Operations and are available in Carbon Black, McLaren Orange, Supernova Silver or Carbon Black.
The two supercars designed specifically to celebrate McLaren’s 50th anniversary are getting additional carbon fiber trim, a new front bumper, a black McLaren badge, satin black finish for the 19- / 20-inch Ultra Lightweight wheels and more. Changes in the cabin include the full leather upgrade, the anniversary dedication plate on the driver’s side door, special floor mats and that’s about all. Production of the McLaren MP4-12C 50 and 12C Spider 50 will be limited to 100 units, 50 each, and their starting price will be set at 196,000 GBP for the Coupe and 215,500 GBP for the Spider.
