A new rendering with the upcoming McLaren 570S has hit the web recently and this is showing us how the upcoming entry-level sports car may look like.
There is no surprise anymore that McLaren is currently developing a new entry-level model which will slot below the 650S and will rival the Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-Type but at the moment, no one outside the company knows how it will look like. Things are about to change thanks to rendering artists like Wild Speed (FB) who have created renderings based on teasers and recent spy shots.
The photo posted above is a rendering which is showing us the rear three-quarter of the upcoming vehicle which used to be known as the Sports Series but will hit the market with the 570S moniker. The model will be instantly recognizable as a McLaren and it will be smaller, lighter, less powerful and cheaper than the current 650S. It will be borrowing the carbon fiber monocoque from its larger brother and it is believed to be offered in a Spider version too, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September.
Power will be provided, in both versions, by the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine found in the other two supercars, which will be detuned and it should produce about 570 HP (419 kW). The new McLaren 570S will be officially presented to the public next week, during the 2015 New York Auto Show, in a premiere. More details on it are limited at this time and will be announced then.
