A brand new McLaren 570S has been spotted recently in London where it managed to attract a lot of curious eyes.
Spotting a McLaren 570S or a 540C on the road these days is actually harder than getting a glimpse of the P1 hypercar, considering the fact that the first addition to the new Sports Series signed by the British based automaker has been officially unveiled just a couple of months ago. However, since we are talking about England’s capital, it was obvious that here the sports car will be making its debut on the streets. Keep in mind that this is Woking’s most friendly vehicle up to date and the company’s attempt of coming down and becoming more affordable, along with the entry-level model, the 540C.
As most of you know already, the 570S has been introduced at the 2015 New York Auto Show and it is smaller, less powerful and cheaper than the 650S. The model is going up against rivals such as the Mercedes-AMG GT, the Porsche 911 or the Jaguar F-Type and it is coming with new front and rear suspension system with adaptive dampers, carbon ceramic brakes and 19- / 20-inch wheels, front to rear. Power is being provided by the 3.8L twin turbo V8 engine, which is rated at 570 HP (419 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, sent to the rear-wheels through a 7-speed SSG transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes 3.2s and top speed stands at 328 km/h (204 mph).
