McLaren has recently brought its newest creation, the 625C, at the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show, where the supercar has made its public debut.
After being officially unveiled over the web, just a few weeks ago, the McLaren 625C is being highlighted once more, this time with the company pulling the wraps off its body during an important automotive even, which is currently taking place in China. The model in question is an Asia-only vehicle and it will be sold as both a Coupe and as a Spider. Its engine is basically the same but it has been detuned for financial reasons and it should now be more affordable when it comes to taxes.
The McLaren 625C has the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, which is now producing 625 HP (460 kW) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque, compared to the same unit found on the 650S, rated at 650 HP (478 kW) and 677 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. This is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission powering the rear wheels and allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.8 seconds. Top speed stands at 329 km/h (204 mph).
