McLaren’s newest supercar up to date, the 650S, has been recently introduced to Malaysia, in a local premiere.
Originally unveiled during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, back in March, the McLaren 650S is now slowly arriving in most markets across the globe, like Malaysia, this past weekend, where the supercar on display was finished in a shade of white. We have to admit that this is the first white 650S we have seen and in this combination, with the carbon fiber front bumper and rear end, it looks even more impressive.
The McLaren 650S has replaced the MP4-12C and its convertible version, the 12C Spider, and it’s coming with a completely new design where the front fascia seems inspired by the much more expensive and powerful P1, while the rear end seems to be borrowed from its “predecessor”. The McLaren 650S is taking its power from the same 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo unit found on the MP4-12C and even on the P1, which is developing, in this case, a total output of 651 HP (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. McLaren says that the supercar can reach a top speed of 330 km/h (206 mph) and from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) it needs just 3.0 seconds.
